Google is making it quite a bit easier on the wallet to get a Pixel 3 right now, as the company has reduced the cost of the phone by 50%. That’s a pretty massive discount on one of the best-rated Android phones on the market. And that discount applies to both the standard Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL.
Of Course, There’s a Catch
Obviously, Google isn’t offering this deal out of the kindness of its heart, and there is a small catch to get the lower price—you’ll need to be new or existing Google Fi user. As long as you’re interested in signing up for Google’s phone service, or you’re already on board with it, then you can get a really good phone at a ridiculously cheap price.
First, the standard Pixel 3 with 64GB of storage is on sale for $399. Normally, that phone sells for $799. If you need more storage, the 128GB version is currently listed for $449, discounted down from its $899 regular price.
If you want a larger phone, you can get the 64GB Pixel 3 XL for $449. The 128GB version of that phone is currently $499. Those devices normally sell for $899 and $999 respectively.
How Long is the Deal Available?
Because this deal is all about celebrating the anniversary of Google Fi, it’s only available for the duration of April 22, 2019. That means you’ll have to order your device by midnight PST today if you want to get the huge savings.
Also, in order to get this deal, you’ll need to activate your device on Google Fi within 30 days of shipping, which stands to reason since Google is attempting to attract new users to its service with this deal. You’ll also need to make sure you activate the phone on the same account that purchases it. If you don’t do both of those, Google will automatically charge the Google Payments account to match the normal price.
